Ministry – Sphinctour (2017) is a live album by the band founded by Al Jourgensen, one of the pioneers of industrial metal. The band began in the 1980s with synth pop but quickly transitioned into heavier, guitar-driven sounds with electronics and aggressive rhythms. This material is a record of a tour in the late 1990s, when Ministry fused industrial with metal – fast tempos, a powerful rhythm section, distorted guitars, and samples.
