PIGSTY „Pignation” CD

“Pignation” is the fifth full-length album from Czech death/grind veterans, released in May 2025—five years after “Pig Blood.” Comprising eight tracks and over 32 minutes of uncompromising music, the album blends grindcore speed with death metal heaviness; however, Pigsty does not limit itself to relentless blast beats. Alongside breakneck sections, the record features heavy, slower passages, signature riffs, and more intricate compositions. A cosmic—at times even psychedelic—atmosphere complements the album’s themes, making “Pignation” more than just another dose of death/grind brutality.

Pigsty was formed in 1998 in Vyškov, Czech Republic, and has been a distinctive fixture of the Czech death/grind scene for over two decades. The band’s discography includes releases such as “The Return” (2002), “Pigs Are Back” (2005), “Planet of the Pigs” (2009), and “Pig Blood” (2020). “Pignation” marks their fifth studio album. The lineup featured on the record consists of Topi (vocals) and Otyn (instruments); according to available information, the band currently operates primarily as a studio project. Tracklist:
