Initially formed in 2009 as a side project of Fleshgod Apocalypse, Italian technical/brutal death metal band BLOODTRUTH currently consists of vocalist Luis Bejarano Cuentas Maggio, also known as Luis Maggio (Sudden Death, ex-Necrosy), guitarists Stefano Rossi Ciucci (Instigate, Vomit the Soul) and Francesco Caponera (Deceptionist, Shadowthrone), bassist Riccardo Rogari (Instigate), and drummer Giacomo Torti (Hour of Penance, Scuorn, Ade), with Alessio Strano (Astral Paralysis) on tour. Combining the mysterious atmosphere of early and rawest death metal of the 1990s with the hallmarks of cutting-edge technical death metal and evocative moments enriched by Gregorian chants, Bloodtruth unleashes a sonic fireball of speed, brutality, and unadulterated hatred. Over the years, they have shared stages with such notable bands as Nile, Suffocation, Dark Tranquillity, Fleshgod Apocalypse, and many others, releasing a three-song promo (“Promo 2012” – self-produced), the critically acclaimed debut albums “Obedience” (2014 – Unique Leader Records) and “Martyrium” (2018 – Unique Leader Records), and the three-song EP “The Walls of Oblivion” (2021 – Bloodblast Distribution).
