DISTRESS’s history is long and similar to that of hundreds of other bands. In 2003, four friends from various local punk bands decided to form a new band to play even louder and more aggressively than before. Despite the passage of time and lineup changes, two ingredients remained constant: original vocalist Alex and a unique sound, a blend of Swedish d-beat and metal, liberally doused in alcohol. During their career, DISTRESS has performed alongside, among others, Napalm Death, Discharge, Antisect, Oi Polloi, Tragedy, Infekcja, Wolfbrigade, Warcollapse, Warcry and at festivals: Obscene Extreme, Play Fast Or Don’t, More Noise For Life, Minimum Pop Fest, Svora Fest.
