MAMA DOOM returns with a new album, it’s got drive, it’s got bite, and the whole thing is spiced up with a great female vocal.

Formed in 2016 in Newburgh, New York, the trio swapped guitars for keyboards and ethereal vocals for their 2018 debut, “From Blue to Bone,” Mama Doom swapped guitars for keyboards and ethereal vocals, driving the rhythms into the ground. A perfect blend of meaty bass and drums, it’s a sound instantly familiar to Doom fans, yet offers a strangely unfamiliar and unique sound considering its component parts. Occupying a place on the spectrum that encompasses traditional blues, heavy, doom, and metal, and fronted by the incredibly talented D. Lolli, there’s no doubt that Mama Doom are a serious force to be reckoned with.
