MAYHEM “Mediolanum Capta Est” LP

Mediolanum Capta Est is Mayhem’s official live album, recorded on November 2, 1998, at the Rainbow Club in Milan. The material captures the band in a later, more established stage – with a more elaborate, technical approach to black metal, yet still retaining a dark, ritualistic character. The performances range from classic songs from the early period to compositions from the De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas era, featuring the distinctive vocals of Attila Csihar.

This release is an important document of Mayhem’s live performances in the late 1990s, combining the rawness of their early days with a more refined form.
