PROTESTSTORM “Den Typ Som Överlever”CD

Swedish punks Proteststorm, despite being active for about a decade, have remained somewhat under the radar. I first encountered them around 2021 thanks to their split seven-inch single with Massgrav, and later discovered their 2016 debut EP, Tidens Malande Tänder.

The band only has two members, but over the years they’ve built an impressive body of work. Kristofer Jankarls (Axis Of Despair, Exil, Faustus, Infanticide, Livet Som Insats) on vocals, guitar, and bass, and Anders Jakobson (Nasum, Krigshot, Axis Of Despair, etc.) on crust/grind/d-beat drums.

Now, Proteststorm returns with their long-awaited album, “Den Typ Som Överlever” (which roughly translates to “The Type Who Survives” in Swedish), featuring 20 gripping, relentless explosions of their Örebro sound, reminiscent of legends like Krigshot, Kvoteringen, Mob 47, and many more.
