TRÄUME “Wrzask / Obłęd” CD

Träume creates their sound by drawing on legendary 1980s punk and new wave bands like Siekiera and Zbombardowane Laleczki. In Soviet Poland, all underground music scenes united, regardless of sound, united by the need to create art that opposed the oppressive regime controlling the country. Furthermore, most punk and hardcore were smuggled through the Iron Curtain on poorly recorded cassettes, so everything evolved organically and with its own interpretation. This is most evident on the famous Polish punk compilation “Fala,” meaning “wave.” Taking this history, Träume are descendants of this sound, bringing melodic elements of new wave to punk rhythms while simultaneously addressing the politics of our time through folk metaphors like “Kraina Snów” (“Land of Dreams”). It’s screaming, it’s fucking punk. As a bonus, songs from the first vinyl EP “Obłęd”!!!
