DEATH GASP “Death Gasp” LP

Death Gasp is an American trio from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, active since 2019. The band operates within the stenchcore genre, where punk meets metal riffs, a grim atmosphere, and a massive sound. Their music draws upon the British crust tradition of the late 1980s.

Prior to their full-length debut, Death Gasp released a six-track demo titled *Death Gasp*, the 7-inch EP *Stranglehold* (2020), the cassette EP *Executioner* (2021), and the *Tour Tape* cassette (2024).

On their debut album, Death Gasp channels the influence of bands such as Axegrinder, early Bolt Thrower, Doom, and Extreme Noise Terror. The music features both massive, slower riff sections and faster passages driven by punk rhythms.

Death Gasp is part of a new wave of bands—alongside acts like Terminal Filth, Warkrusher, and Axefear—that are carrying on the tradition of heavy crust punk. Their debut is a must-listen for fans of gritty, metallic punk, d-beat, crust, and death metal. Release Details
