EYEHATEGOD “Confederacy Of Ruined Lives” LP (mustard)

“Confederacy of Ruined Lives” is the fourth album by EyeHateGod, originally released in 2000. The New Orleans-based band remains true to its signature blend of sludge metal, hardcore aggression, and blues-infused grit. The ten tracks form a heavy, stifling landscape filled with distorted guitars, unsteady rhythms, and the vocals of Mike IX Williams—which sound like the expression of permanent exhaustion and rage.

EyeHateGod was formed in 1988 in New Orleans and became one of the most significant bands in the American sludge metal scene. Their music combines the heaviness of doom metal with the aggression of hardcore punk, bluesy grime, and a noisy aesthetic. *Confederacy of Ruined Lives* arrived after a multi-year hiatus, confirming that the band was still capable of creating uncompromising, suffocating music on their own terms.
