EYEHATEGOD “Eyehategod” LP (bone)

“Eyehategod” is an album on which EyeHateGod further develop their signature heavy and oppressive sludge metal sound. Thick, slow-moving riffs, a gritty guitar tone, and the frustration-filled vocals of Mike Williams create music that balances sludge, hardcore aggression, and a raw, almost punk-like chaos.

EyeHateGod is one of the most significant bands in the American sludge metal scene. Formed in New Orleans in the late 1980s, they combined the heaviness of Black Sabbath with the aggression of hardcore punk and the nihilistic atmosphere of the Southern underground. Their work has served as a benchmark for subsequent generations of sludge and stoner metal bands.
