Product description

Conflict’s 1983 debut album. This is how it all began. Gatefold, colour vinyl

Released in 1983 on London label Mortarhate, Conflict’s debut broke all the rules of punk rock, setting new standards and storming the independent charts, reaching and holding the number 1 position for several weeks. Formed in 1981 and led by vocalist Colin Jerwood, who remained one of the few constant members of the group throughout its 30-year existence, and fuelled by hatred of the media, the military and the general status quo in Thatcher’s England at the end of the century, Conflict became a model for three generations of peace punk activists and anarchists around the world.
