MAYHEM “Grand Declaration Of War” LP

“Grand Declaration of War” by MAYHEM is one of the most controversial albums in the history of black metal. The record marked a sharp departure from black metal orthodoxy, steering the band toward progressive and dissonant sounds—a shift that caused deep divisions within the scene. Now, thanks to a fresh mix and mastering—carried out at Orgone Studio under the watchful eyes of Hellhammer and Blasphemer, in collaboration with Jaime Gomez Arellano (known for his work with Primordial, Cathedral, and Oranssi Pazuzu)—along with new artwork by Glyn Smyth (Unearthly Trance, Rose Kemp), this polarizing material can be rediscovered. Revisit this genre classic, which continues to shape the creative path of these scene titans and still casts a long shadow over the genre to this day.
